The USA dominated the Under-17 Five Nations Hockey Tournament in Chomutov, Czech Republic.
The Americans won all four of their games - plus a pre-tournament warm-up contest - to finish with a perfect 5-0 record.
The finale proved to be their toughest test as they trailed Slovakia 2-0 before scoring the last four goals – all by different players - for a 4-2 victory. Earlier they defeated Germany 6-2, Switzerland 5-0 and the Czech Republic 5-2. They also won their exhibition game against the Czech Republic 6-2.
Coach Barry Smith told USA Hockey, "The term we came up with was ‘relentless' and we were just that. Our work ethic was second to none and when you combine talent with work ethic that's tough to beat."
The USA roster included players from 12 states, led by Minnesota with five.
