had a spectacular opening game of the season three weeks ago, scoring seven touchdowns in a 51-16 win over Nikiski. In a 78-6 win over Homer on Saturday, Daniels did one better.
The Kenai Central (Kenai, Alaska)
senior running back rushed 17 times for 270 yards and scored six rushing touchdowns in the big win over Homer, a team that reached the medium school state championship game last year. Daniels also scored two defensive touchdowns, one on a fumble return and another on an interception return, according to the Peninsula Clarion.
With three games under his belt, Daniels leads the nation in rushing and scoring. He has carried 56 times for 825 yards, including a 485-yard effort in the season opener. Daniels had 270 yards on 17 carries against Homer.
Daniels also has 16 touchdowns, 14 of them rushing, to lead the nation.
