Florida High School Basketball - Wiregrass Ranch nudges Hernando

(January 20, 2009: Brooksville, FL 34601) Wiregrass Ranch Bulls (Wesley Chapel, FL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL), 61-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Wiregrass Ranch upgrades its record to 6-13 on the season. The Bulls host Pasco (Dade City, FL) to encounter the Pirates in a 4A District 8 bout on Friday, January 23. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 2-14.

Next up, the Leopards encounter the Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL) in a 4A District 8 bout, on Thursday, January 22. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 70-68 league loss to Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL).
