Mississippi High School Basketball - Starkville Academy prevails Presbyterian Christian
(January 13, 2012: Starkville, MS 39759) Starkville Academy Volunteers (Starkville, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Presbyterian Christian Bobcats (Hattiesburg, MS), 65-45 in a league bout.
With the win, Starkville Academy upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season.
Next up, the Bobcats play the Copiah Academy Colonels (Gallman, MS) in a MAIS AAA II District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Presbyterian Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 15-4 season record. The Colonels go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 50-44 non-league loss to Canton Academy (Canton, MS).
