North Carolina High School Basketball - Green Hope prevails Lee County

(February 3, 2012: Cary, NC 27519) Green Hope Falcons (Cary, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lee County (Sanford, NC), 54-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Green Hope upgrades its record to 17-0 on the season. The Falcons travel to Cary (Cary, NC) to encounter the Imps in a bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Imps go into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the encounter the Athens Drive Jaguars (Raleigh, NC) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Lee County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.

Scoring Summary

Fourth Quarter Summary:
The fourth quarter turned pretty ugly when the Lee County coach picked up a technical foul, followed by a second technical foul on the bench. The frustration of the Lee County team got the best of them as they committed 3 different intentional fouls by shoving Green Hope players unnecessarily as they went for layups. Unfortunately, the referees lost control of the game and allowed the Lee County team to laugh and high five each other while committing these unsportsmanlike fouls. Nevertheless, Green Hope dominated the entire game and controlled their emotions despite the on court touting by the Yellow Jackets.
