(December 1, 2007: Orland, CA 95963) The Providence Lions (Orland, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Surprise Valley Hornets (Cedarville, CA), 28-23 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Lions (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Princeton (Princeton, CA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Princeton was tipped by Esparto (Esparto, CA), 40-32, in a non-league test.

The Hornets now own a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Paisley for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 12. Surprise Valley will clash with a Broncos squad coming off a 51-26 non-league loss to Central Christian (Redmond, OR). The Broncos record now stands at 0-1.
