(September 1, 2006: Phenix City, AL 36870) Eufaula Tigers (Eufaula, AL) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL), 33-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Rehobeth for a 5A Region 2 challenge on Friday, September 8. Eufaula will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 28-13 non-league loss to Houston Academy (Dothan, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Central moves to 0-1 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Smiths Station (Smiths, AL) to clash with the Panthers in a 6A Region 3 challenge on Friday, September 8. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Smiths Station lost 34-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Russell (Alexander City, AL)
