(September 26, 2008: Orange, CA 92869) The JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) football knocked off the host El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), 22-0 in Friday's non-league game.

The Lions (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Pacifica (Garden Grove, CA). The Mariners come into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Pacifica was dropped by California (Whittier, CA), 34-27, in a non-league game.

The Vanguards now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Foothill for a non-league game on Friday, October 3. El Modena will battle a Knights team coming off a 27-14 non-league win over Canyon (Anaheim, CA). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
