TAMPA — The speed of Berkeley Prep's forwards was too much for St. Andrew's defense, as the Buccaneers cruised to a 5-1 victory in the class 5A region final Friday.

St. Andrew's offside trap defense confused Berkeley Prep (26-2-2) early, forcing seven offside violations in the first half. But it clearly wasn't the answer as the Bucs put 17 shots on goal.

"Their offside trap frustrated us the entire game," Berkeley Prep coach Timothy Cooper said. "We've got a potent offensive attack and managed to finish a few of our opportunities."

Junior T.J. Roehn scored two goals in the first half, using his speed to get behind the defense.

"They put their defense at midfield, forcing us to play the long ball," Roehn said. "I was just able to break through and get a couple."

J.D. Post capped off the first half scoring by slipping behind the defense and beating the keeper to secure a 3-0 lead just before
