Missouri High School Basketball - Lafayette holds off Howell Central
(February 6, 2012: Wildwood, MO 63011) Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette Lancers (Wildwood, MO) and the visiting Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO), saw Lafayette's basketball squad hold off Howell Central by a score of 56-50.
With the victory, Lafayette improves its record to 14-7 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Fox (Arnold, MO) to battle the Warriors in a Suburban - West challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-16. Fox lost 67-42 in their recent league challenge against Oakville (St. Louis, MO)
Next up, the Spartans battle the Fort Zumwalt West Jaguars (O'Fallon, MO) in a Gateway - South challenge, on Friday, February 10. Howell Central will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 79-36 non-league loss to Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO).
