Texas High School Basketball - Canadian prevails Sunray
(January 20, 2012: Sunray, TX 79086) Canadian Wildcats (Canadian, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sunray Bobcats (Sunray, TX), 58-39 in a league bout.
With the win, Canadian upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Booker (Booker, TX) to play the Kiowas in a 1A-1 Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Kiowas go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Booker lost 52-28 in their recent league bout against Gruver (Gruver, TX)
Next up, the Bobcats play the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) in a 1A-1 Region I District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Sunray will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record.
