Maryland High School Football - Wootton trounced by Whitman
(September 23, 2005: Bethesda, MD 20817) The Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD) football trounced the visiting Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD), 40-7 in Friday's league game.
The Vikings now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Quince Orchard for a Montgomery County 4A West game on Friday, September 30. Whitman will meet a Cougars team coming off a 27-16 non-league win over Blair (Gaithersburg, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.
The Patriots (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Churchill (Potomac, MD). The Bulldogs enter the Montgomery County 4A West game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Churchill trounced Seneca Valley (Potomac, MD), 7-0, in a non-league game.
