New Hampshire High School Football - Inter-Lakes beaten by Franklin

(September 13, 2008: Franklin, NH 03235) The Franklin Tornadoes topped the visiting Inter-Lakes Lakers football team by a final score of 32-9 in Saturday's league outing.

With the win, Franklin improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Newfound Regional (Bristol, NH) to confront the Bears in a Division VI outing on Saturday, September 20. The Bears go into the outing with a record of 0-2. Newfound Regional lost 20-6 in their recent league outing against Campbell (Litchfield, NH)

With the loss, Inter-Lakes moves to 0-1 on the season. The Lakers host Mascoma (Canaan, NH) to confront the Royals in a Division VI outing on Saturday, September 20. The Royals go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Mascoma won 26-6 in their recent league outing against Farmington (Farmington, NH)

First Quarter Summary:
First ever Varsity game ever But the team dug deep and held Franklin on there initial drive. Alot of guts and spirit
Second Quarter Summary:
Inter-lakes drove the ball down field and score there first ever touchdown on a off tackle running play by Garrett Dunlap
Third Quarter Summary:
Recoverd fumble by Senior Chris Guilmette lead to first ever 18 yard field goal made by freshman Conor Donavan. Team defense leaders were Defensive Line Tommy Rees, Linebackers Jacob Steis, Kevin Brady and Josh Fournier. Safeties Nate Clive and Lee Irwin also played well

Few fumbles and penalties held Inter-lakes back in the fourth quarter.
