California High School Softball - Kennedy holds off Esperanza
(May 19, 2011: Anaheim, CA 92807) Kennedy Fighting Irish (La Palma, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Fighting Irish now sport a 14-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canyon for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 26. Kennedy will face a Comanches squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA). The Comanches record now stands at 21-7.
With the loss, Esperanza falls to 22-3 on the campaign.
