(December 3, 2011: El Paso, TX 79925) In Saturday's non-league outing, the Burges Mustangs (El Paso, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting King Mustangs (Corpus Christi, TX), by a count of 49-44.

The Mustangs (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Eastwood (El Paso, TX). The Troopers go into the non-league outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Eastwood nipped Montwood (El Paso, TX), 50-21, in a league outing.

The Mustangs now hold a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host Rockport-Fulton for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 6. King will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 52-41 non-league loss to Moody (Corpus Christi, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-2.
