Oregon High School Basketball - Thurston overwhelmed by Springfield
(January 27, 2012: Springfield, OR 97478) The Springfield Millers basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the host Thurston Colts to 19 in the Millers non-league victory on Friday.
The Millers now sport a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Marist for a 5A Midwestern contest on Tuesday, January 31. Springfield will meet a Spartans team coming off a 49-29 league win over North Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Spartans record now stands at 10-7.
The Colts (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Sheldon (Eugene, OR). The Irish come into the 6A Special District 1 contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Sheldon was routed by Willamette (Eugene, OR), 46-38, in a non-league contest.
