Texas High School Basketball - Canyon prevails Dripping Springs

(November 21, 2011: Dripping Springs, TX 78620) Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX), 61-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canyon upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Cougars host Seguin (Seguin, TX) to play the Matadors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Seguin lost 52-42 in their recent non-league bout against Clemens (Schertz, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Austin Maroons (Austin, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. Dripping Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Maroons go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 48-29 non-league win over McCallum (Austin, TX).
