(January 21, 2012: Atherton, CA 94027) The Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Washington Union Panthers (Fresno, CA), 42-36 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bears (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Westmoor (Daly City, CA). The Rams go into the Peninsula - Ocean test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Westmoor was tipped by Half Moon Bay (Half Moon Bay, CA), 49-35, in a league test.
