Texas High School Basketball - LaPoynor falls to Cayuga

(February 3, 2012: Cayuga, TX 75832) The Cayuga Wildcats basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting LaPoynor Flyers to 34 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Big Sandy for a 1A-1 Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Cayuga will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 75-20 league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-11.

The Flyers (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX). The Bobcats enter the 1A-1 Region III District 20 contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Cross Roads lost by Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX), 70-29, in a league contest.
