Ohio High School Basketball - Brookville falls to Monroe
(January 27, 2012: Monroe, OH 45050) The Monroe Hornets basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Brookville Blue Devils to 42 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.
The Hornets now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison Senior for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Monroe will meet a Mohawks team coming off a 70-62 league loss to Carlisle (Carlisle, OH). The Mohawks record now stands at 6-8.
The Blue Devils (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Twin Valley South ran past Arcanum (Arcanum, OH), 63-54, in a league contest.
