Texas High School Basketball - Shallowater overwhelms Brownfield
(January 20, 2012: Shallowater, TX 79363) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) and the visiting Brownfield Cubs (Brownfield, TX), saw Shallowater's basketball squad trounce Brownfield by a score of 64-33.
With the victory, Shallowater improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Levelland (Levelland, TX) to battle the Lobos in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 12-14. Levelland won 61-29 in their recent league challenge against Lamesa (Lamesa, TX)
Next up, the Cubs battle the Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Brownfield will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 22-4 record after their 74-44 league win over Estacado (Lubbock, TX).
