(December 28, 2007: Georgetown, TX 78626) Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Mayde Creek Rams (Houston, TX), 72-65 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Georgetown upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Round Rock (Round Rock, TX) to encounter the Dragons in a 5A Region II District 14 bout on Saturday, January 5. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 12-9. Round Rock lost 63-32 in their recent league bout against Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX)
Next up, the Rams encounter the Jersey Village Falcons (Houston, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 29. Mayde Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 66-47 league loss to Cypress Falls (Houston, TX).
