Florida High School Basketball - Olympia overwhelms Edgewater

(January 27, 2009: Orlando, FL 32835) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Olympia Titans (Orlando, FL) and the visiting Edgewater Fightin' Eagles (Orlando, FL), saw Olympia's basketball squad trounce Edgewater by a score of 70-32.

With the victory, Olympia improves its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Titans host Wekiva (Apopka, FL) to play the Mustangs in a 6A District 5 challenge on Friday, January 30. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 6-10. Wekiva lost 60-58 in their recent league challenge against East Ridge (Clermont, FL)

Next up, the Fightin' Eagles play the West Orange Warriors (Winter Garden, FL) in a 6A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, January 29. Edgewater will attempt to improve on its 4-17 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 87-68 league loss to Dr. Phillips (Orlando, FL).
