Texas High School Basketball - St. Thomas Catholic can't hold off Cypress Springs

Cypress Springs Panthers basketball team scored 67 points and held the host
St. Thomas Catholic Eagles to 63 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host
Cypress Creek for a
5A Region III District 17 contest on Wednesday, January 2.
Cypress Springs will meet a Cougars team coming off a
56-46 league loss to
Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 2-10.
The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against
Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX). The Hawks enter the
3A Region III District 21 contest with a 20-2 record. In their last contest,
Hardin-Jefferson was nudged by
East Chambers (Winnie, TX),
54-51, in a non-league contest.
