(September 14, 2007: Amherst, VA 24521) The Washington Eagles football team (Danville, VA), was ripped 63-31 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA)

The Lancers (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Glass trounced Jefferson Forest (Jefferson, VA), 23-17, in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Matoaca for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 21. Washington will meet a Warriors team coming off a 27-13 non-league loss to Varina (Richmond, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
