California High School Basketball - North over Centennial
(January 27, 2012: Torrance, CA 90504) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Saxons (Torrance, CA) and the visiting Centennial Apaches (Compton, CA), saw North's basketball squad knock off Centennial by a score of 51-43.
With the victory, North improves its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Saxons host South (Torrance, CA) to battle the Spartans in a Pioneer challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. South lost 51-44 in their recent league challenge against Torrance (Torrance, CA)
Next up, the Apaches battle the El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) in a Pioneer contest, on Wednesday, February 1. Centennial will attempt to better on its 7-11 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 15-8 record after their 53-33 league win over Lawndale (Lawndale, CA).
