New York High School Basketball - Lincoln overwhelmed by Mt. Vernon

(January 22, 2008: Yonkers, NY 10704) The Mt. Vernon Knights basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the host Lincoln Lancers to 46 in the Knights non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Knights now sport a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Linden for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 26. Mt. Vernon will meet a Tigers team coming off a 77-45 league win over East Side (Newark, NJ). The Tigers record now stands at 14-2.

The Lancers (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Saunders Trades & Tech (Yonkers, NY). The Blue Devils come into the Section 1 I - D contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, Saunders Trades & Tech was routed by New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY), 85-52, in a non-league contest.
