(February 5, 2008: Southern Pines, NC 28387) The Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 81-50 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Patriots (18-4) will now prepare for their test against Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Bucks go into the Mid-Southeastern test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, Hoke County was trounced by Westover (Fayetteville, NC), 75-52, in a league test.
The Wolverines now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Owen for a Western Highlands test on Tuesday, February 12. Polk County will clash with a Warhorses squad coming off a 69-65 league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 7-12.
