(January 3, 2012: Torrance, CA 90505) The Palos Verdes Peninsula Panthers basketball team scored 53 points and held the host South Spartans to 46 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host North for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 5. Palos Verdes Peninsula will confront a Saxons team coming off a 43-28 non-league loss to Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, CA). The Saxons record now stands at 8-7.

The Spartans (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Archer School for Girls (Los Angeles, CA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Archer School for Girls was edged by Alhambra (Martinez, CA), 53-43, in a non-league bout.
