(January 30, 2012: Los Angeles, CA 90020) Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the New Covenant Academy Huskies (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Acaciawood Golden Eagles (Anaheim, CA), saw New Covenant Academy's basketball squad hold off Acaciawood by a score of 59-55.

With the victory, New Covenant Academy improves its record to 9-9 on the campaign.

The Golden Eagles now own a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they host Padre Pio Academy for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 1. Acaciawood will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 44-41 non-league loss to Cornerstone Christian (Wildomar, CA). The Rebels record now stands at 15-7.
