The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Richland (North Richland Hills, TX). The Rebels come into the 5A Region I District 6 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Richland was beaten by Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX), 23-21, in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Washington for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 10. Abilene will meet a Hornets team coming off a 24-3 non-league loss to Carl Albert (Midwest City, OK). The Hornets record now stands at 0-1.
