(December 16, 2011: Ivanhoe, TX 75447) Bells Panthers (Bells, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Sam Rayburn Rebels (Ivanhoe, TX), 56-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bells upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Howe (Howe, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region II District 11 bout on Monday, December 19. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-8. Howe lost 55-34 in their recent non-league bout against Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX)

Next up, the Rebels play the Blue Ridge Tigers (Blue Ridge, TX) in a 1A-1 Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Sam Rayburn will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 46-39 non-league win over CHANT HomeSchool (Dallas, TX).
