Arkansas High School Basketball - Gentry overwhelmed by Ozark
(January 27, 2012: Ozark, AR 72949) The Ozark Hillbillies basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Gentry Pioneers to 22 in the Hillbillies league victory on Friday.
The Hillbillies now sport a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Prairie Grove for a 4A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Ozark will meet a Tigers team coming off a 57-36 league win over Pea Ridge (Pea Ridge, AR). The Tigers record now stands at 19-1.
The Pioneers (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Shiloh Christian (Springdale, AR). The Saints come into the 4A Region 1 contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Shiloh Christian trounced Berryville (Berryville, AR), 49-18, in a league contest.
