Oregon High School Basketball - Southridge overwhelms Sunset

(February 7, 2012: Portland, OR 97229) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southridge Skyhawks (Beaverton, OR) and the host Sunset Apollos (Portland, OR), saw Southridge's basketball squad trounce Sunset by a score of 70-34.

With the victory, Southridge improves its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Skyhawks host Westview (Portland, OR) to battle the Wildcats in a 6A Metro challenge on Friday, February 10. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Westview won 55-36 in their recent league contest against Beaverton (Beaverton, OR)

The Apollos (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Jesuit (Portland, OR). The Crusaders come into the 6A Metro contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Jesuit trounced Aloha (Beaverton, OR), 49-35, in a league contest.
