Ohio High School Basketball - Jackson nudges West Branch

(February 5, 2008: Beloit, OH 44609) Jackson Polar Bears (Massillon, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host West Branch Warriors (Beloit, OH), 57-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Polar Bears travel to Boardman (Youngstown, OH) to encounter the Spartans in a Federal bout on Saturday, February 9. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Boardman won 47-45 in their recent non-league bout against East (Akron, OH)

Next up, the Warriors encounter the Marlington Dukes (Alliance, OH) in a Northeastern Buckeye bout, on Friday, February 8. West Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 67-50 league win over Louisville (Louisville, OH).
