Rowan County Vikings football team (Morehead, KY), was beaten
18-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting
Clark Cardinals (Inez, KY)
The Cardinals (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against
Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY). The Hawks come into the
3A District 8 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge,
Pike County Central was beaten by
Tolsia (Fort Gay, WV),
27-6, in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to
Lawrence County for a
4A District 8 challenge on Friday, October 5.
Rowan County will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a
35-24 non-league loss to
Russell (Russell, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.
