Florida High School Basketball - Lecanto thwarts Crystal River

(January 13, 2009: Lecanto, FL 34461) The Lecanto Panthers (Lecanto, FL) basketball felled the visiting Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL), 101-84 in Tuesday's league test.

The Panthers (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL). The Tigers go into the 4A District 6 test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Dunnellon went down by Citrus (Inverness, FL), 51-43, in a league test.

The Pirates now own a 1-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Sumter for a 4A District 6 test on Friday, January 16. Crystal River will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 62-39 league loss to Belleview (Belleview, FL). The Raiders record now stands at 1-13.
