North Carolina High School Basketball - South View holds off E.E. Smith

(January 6, 2012: Fayetteville, NC 28301) South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host E.E. Smith Golden Bulls (Fayetteville, NC), 33-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, South View upgrades its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Colts in a 4A Mid-South bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 3-11. Cape Fear lost 65-38 in their recent league bout against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Golden Bulls play the Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. E.E. Smith will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 48-38 league loss to Western Harnett (Lillington, NC).
