(January 19, 2012: Hoyt, KS 66440) The Wabaunsee Chargers (Alma, KS) basketball nipped the host Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS), 37-33 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Chargers (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Chapman (Chapman, KS). The Fighting Irish go into the non-league test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Chapman got by Pleasant Ridge (Easton, KS), 53-42, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pleasant Ridge for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Royal Valley will confront a Rams team coming off a 53-42 non-league loss to Chapman (Chapman, KS). The Rams record now stands at 6-3.
