Texas High School Basketball - Lone Star holds off Lovejoy
(January 31, 2012: Lucas, TX 75002) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) and the host Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX), witnessed Lone Star's basketball squad tip Lovejoy by a margin of 53-48.
The Rangers (18-10) will now prepare for their test against Community (Nevada, TX). The Braves go into the 3A Region II District 11 test with a 3-23 record. In their last test, Community was tipped by Prosper (Prosper, TX), 49-21, in a league test.
The Leopards now own a 13-18 record. They take the field next when they travel to Princeton for a 3A Region II District 11 test on Friday, February 3. Lovejoy will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 53-30 league win over Farmersville (Farmersville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 17-6.
