(December 16, 2011: Pittsburg, TX 75686) The Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX) basketball crushed the host Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, TX), 43-20 in Friday's non-league test.

The Lions (15-0) will now prepare for their test against Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX). The Bears go into the 1A-2 Region III District 21 test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Sulphur Bluff was trounced by Miller Grove (Cumby, TX), 49-44, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Rains for a non-league test on Monday, December 19. Pittsburg will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 58-27 non-league win over Mineola (Mineola, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-8.
