Texas High School Basketball - Springtown ripped by Aledo

(January 27, 2012: Springtown, TX 76082) The Aledo Bearcats basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Springtown Porcupines to 41 in the Bearcats league triumph on Friday.

The Bearcats now sport a 25-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Byron Nelson for a 4A Region I District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Aledo will meet a Bobcat team coming off a 76-30 league loss to Timber Creek (Fort Worth, TX). The Bobcat record now stands at 17-14.

The Porcupines (16-14) will now prepare for their contest against Boswell (Fort Worth, TX). The Pioneers enter the 4A Region I District 5 contest with a 11-15 record. In their last contest, Boswell was routed by Brewer (Fort Worth, TX), 52-41, in a league contest.
