(December 2, 2011: Irving, TX 75062) Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the MacArthur Cardinals (Irving, TX) and the visiting Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX), saw MacArthur's basketball squad knock off Manvel by a score of 57-38.

With the victory, MacArthur improves its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Heritage (Colleyville, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 6 challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Heritage lost 47-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX)

Next up, the Mavericks battle the Dunbar Wildcats (Fort Worth, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 2. Manvel will attempt to improve on its 12-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 72-41 non-league win over Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX).
