(January 27, 2012: Oxford, KS 67119) Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans (Cedar Vale, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Oxford Wildcats (Oxford, KS), 47-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Cedar Vale/Dexter upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Spartans host Sedan (Sedan, KS) to play the Devils in a South Central Border bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Devils go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Sedan lost 55-41 in their recent league bout against Caldwell (Caldwell, KS)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Elk Valley Lions (Longton, KS) in a South Central Border bout, on Friday, February 3. Oxford will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 47-18 league loss to Central (Burden, KS).
