(January 26, 2012: Hope Mills, NC 28348) South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC), 82-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South View upgrades its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Buccaneers in a 4A Mid-South bout on Friday, January 27. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a record of 6-13. Jack Britt won 56-43 in their recent league bout against Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a 3A Cape Fear Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Douglas Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record.
