Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Mountain fells Horizon

(January 27, 2012: Scottsdale, AZ 85254) Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ), 48-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Desert Mountain upgrades its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to McClintock (Tempe, AZ) to play the Chargers in a I Section III bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 11-13.

Next up, the Huskies play the Camelback Spartans (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Horizon will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 0-20 record after their 34-29 league loss to Hayden (Phoenix, AZ).
