Oregon High School Basketball - Sandy edges Putnam
(January 31, 2012: Sandy, OR 97055) The Sandy Pioneers (Sandy, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Putnam Kingsmen (Milwaukie, OR), 53-47 in Tuesday's league test.
The Pioneers (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts (Milwaukie, OR). The Mustangs go into the 5A Northwest Oregon test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts got by St. Helens (St. Helens, OR), 61-41, in a league test.
The Kingsmen now own a 5-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty for a 5A Northwest Oregon test on Friday, February 3. Putnam will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 58-50 league loss to Sherwood (Sherwood, OR). The Falcons record now stands at 8-9.
