(December 30, 2011: Portland, OR 97233) Douglas Scots (Portland, OR) supporters were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR), 69-64 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Douglas improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Scots travel to West Linn (West Linn, OR) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 8-3.

Next up, the Vikings battle the Westview Wildcats (Portland, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. North Salem will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 58-52 non-league win over Central Catholic (Portland, OR).
