California High School Basketball - Providence thwarts Pescadero

(December 19, 2008: Orland, CA 95963) The Providence Lions (Orland, CA) basketball felled the visiting Pescadero Vikings (Pescadero, CA), 35-24 in Friday's non-league test.

The Lions (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Southern Trinity (Bridgeville, CA). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Southern Trinity went down by Leggett Valley (Leggett, CA), 48-34, in a non-league test.

The Vikings now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Leadership for a Bay Counties - Central test on Tuesday, January 6. Pescadero will clash with a Griffin squad coming off a 55-44 non-league loss to Immaculate Conception (San Francisco, CA). The Griffin record now stands at 1-4.
