Gibbs Gladiators (St. Petersburg, FL) basketball nipped the visiting
Lakewood Spartans (St. Petersburg, FL),
71-70 in Thursday's league test.
The Gladiators (8-9) will now prepare for their test against
Seminole (Seminole, FL). The Warhawks go into the
5A District 11 test with a 1-2 record.
The Spartans now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to
Booker for a non-league test on Saturday, January 17.
Lakewood will clash with a Tornadoes squad coming off a
57-24 non-league loss to
Venice (Venice, FL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 1-4.
